What is catch-up bookkeeping?

Catch-up bookkeeping completes overdue bookkeeping for periods that have not been kept current. We record and categorize transactions, reconcile accounts and prepare monthly reports for the agreed periods.

How is this different from cleanup?

Catch-up bookkeeping completes a backlog of unrecorded work. Cleanup investigates and corrects problems in existing records, such as duplicate entries or unsupported balances. If your client needs both, we agree the combined scope before starting.

How many months can you catch up?

We can scope several overdue months or prior years after reviewing the transaction volume and available records. The schedule is agreed with your firm.

What if some records are missing?

We identify missing statements and supporting documents and send specific questions. Unresolved items are listed for your review.

Can you continue with monthly bookkeeping?

Yes. Once the agreed backlog is complete, we can agree an ongoing monthly bookkeeping workload.

How is catch-up bookkeeping priced?

We quote the project based on the outstanding periods, transaction volume, accounts and condition of the records. Book a call to discuss your client’s backlog.
